Many generations of graduates of the Faculty of Journalism today recall the always kind and wise gaze of the Dean Prysyazhny and with sincere gratitude recall the advice and instructions, friendly jokes and always timely words of support, because Mykhailo Pavlovich was a strength and support for many.

During the presentation of the publication, the Rector of the University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Roman Gladyshevsky, addressed the audience, noting that today’s presentation of the collection of memoirs “3 Depths of Thought I Will Return” is a very good opportunity to honor the bright memory of the long-time dean of the Faculty of Journalism, professor, head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism, a worthy, noble and kind person – Mykhailo Pavlovich Prysyazhny.
“This book contains a hundred memories of Mykhailo Prysyazhny, the authors of which are his relatives, friends, colleagues, students, most of whom are representatives of the academic community of Lviv University. Of course, each story preserved on the pages of the book is unique and reflects the most valuable moments of relationships, communication and joint work, but at the same time all memories have something in common – they are united by the overarching idea of light and love,” shared Roman Yevhenovych. “Everyone who writes about Mykhailo Prysyazhny puts warmth, gratitude, respect into their words and thereby affirms the memory of him as an extremely kind, sincere, responsible and wise person, which he was. Yes, Mykhailo Prysyazhny was one of those who had the courage to always and with everyone be themselves, real and frank. Giving his sincerity to others, he received it in return, rallying around him those who shared his values, ideas, and aspirations,” the Rector noted.
The moderator of the event Zynoviy Sukhodub noted that Yulia Prysyazhna had a difficult mission – to immortalize her father in a book of memories: “This book is incredible in terms of typography, incredible in terms of architecture, concept. There is a lot of heart and love in this book,” Zynoviy Sukhodub emphasized.
Later, the author and editor of the publication, Yulia Prysyazhna, addressed the audience. “Today is a truly special day for our family. After all, in addition to the presentation of the book, today is the holiday of Faith, Hope, Love, which has shifted in time. It was on this day, according to the old style, September 30, that our father was born. Therefore, we chose this date not by chance. These saints seemed to walk alongside dad. Faith was his strongest pillar, hope supported him and did not fade even in the most difficult moments and minutes, and love filled his every deed, which is why he himself often repeated that everything in this life must be done with love, or not done at all. But also to do everything on time – to confess love on time, to say goodbye on time and to let go of doubts on time, – noted Yulia Prysyazhna. – Today we hold in our hands a book that has just been published. It is still warm. And our father’s heart beats in it. It came out on time, because it answers the questions that have long troubled many of you. We live as long as we are remembered, no one deserves to be forgotten. This book is confirmation of this, – noted Yulia Prysyazhna.
Dean of the Faculty of Journalism Maryan Lozynsky began his speech with a quote from Mykhailo Prysyazhny: “Being able to forgive, finding a compromise is an art. In the pride of forgiveness, truth is born, a plan is produced.”
“Why does Mykhailo Pavlovich turn to the Christian quote of forgiveness, which Jesus used in his Lord’s Prayer “Our Father”? First of all, because he was a practicing Christian. He knew how to forgive, and for today’s world this is very problematic. Mykhailo wanted us to understand him, but we did not always understand him. Mykhailo was well aware of his mission as Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and tried to fully realize it. Mykhailo sought advice and support from us, his colleagues, in various ways in his personal and dean’s life. Mykhailo loved the university community, loved his family, his household, and ultimately all of us – the teachers and students of the Faculty of Journalism,” shared Maryan Volodymyrovych’s memories.
Later, during the presentation of the publication, his long-time colleagues shared warm memories of Mykhailo Prysyazhny. Thus, in the format of a video address, Professor of the Department of Radio and Television of the Faculty of Journalism, Doctor of Philology, Honored Professor of Lviv University Oleksandra Serbenska recalled the commonality of everyday life with Mykhailo Pavlovich. “Mykhailo Prysyazhny was a lively, interesting conversationalist, he loved the society of deans very much, he appreciated and supported every student. Therefore, it is extremely important that today all the virtues and achievements of Mykhailo Prysyazhny have been collected and arranged in one publication, which will become an extremely important memory for our people. From such books we testify that there is something in the world,” expressed Oleksandra Antonivna’s conviction.
The image of Mykhailo Prysyazhny, which will forever remain in the memory of his colleagues, as well as the work on preparing the book for publication, was spoken about by the head of the Ukrainian Press Department of the Faculty of Journalism of Lviv University, director of the PAIS Publishing House Ihor Paslavskyi, and the literary editor of the book Khrystyna Datsyshyn. Warm memories of Mykhailo Prysyazhny were also shared by the professor of the Department of Theory and History of Political Science Nataliya Zhygaylo, noting the uniqueness of his personality and deep intellectual erudition, sincerity in communication, and dedication to the academic community.

Head of the Department of Radio and Television Broadcasting of the Faculty of Journalism Paraskovia Dvoryanin, Head of the Department of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literary Studies, Professor Mykhailo Hnatyuk, Professor of the Department of Algebra, Topology and Fundamentals of Mathematics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Mykhailo Zarichny, Doctor of Philosophy, Head of the Department of History of Philosophy Andriy Dakhniy and other colleagues during the presentation of the publication recalled the common moments of meetings and meaningful conversations with Mykhailo Prysyazhny, in which his intellectual depth, goodwill and sincere interest in the interlocutor were felt. They emphasized not only the importance of his personality in the academic environment, but also that bright human warmth with which he knew how to unite people around him, leaving a mark in the hearts of colleagues, students and friends.
