On April 29, the Department of Foreign Press and Information held an online seminar for masters of the Faculty of Journalism with students of Ibaraki Christian University (Japan) on the topic “Student Life in Japan and Ukraine: Cross-Cultural Exploration” at the Department of Foreign Press and Information as part of the course “Intercultural Communication”.

During the meeting, each of the parties exchanged experiences, presented videos about a day in the life of a student, and compared the features of university education in Ukraine and Japan.

Special attention was focused on the features of intercultural communication, in particular, on cultural differences and common stereotypes that students tried to debunk during the seminar.

The event was organized by Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Press and Information of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Associate Professor Olga Kvasnytsia, and Associate Professor of Ibaraki Christian University, Yuliya Dzyabko.
